Rotary's relief efforts in Haiti

We are all very aware of the earthquake which has struck the nation of Haiti.

Haiti is part of District 7020 which is around the Carribean.

Two years ago, our Group Study Exchange partner, District 5490 in Arizona, had a GSE with this District and I had the good fortune of meeting that team when I was visiting Arizona.

Rotary International, through the Rotary Foundation, has established a Donor Advised Fund within the Rotary Foundation to receive gifts. Gifts can only be made in US dollars directly to the Foundation; and are not tax deductible to Australians.

You will see that the RI President, John Kenny, and the Chair of the Foundation Trustees, Glenn Estess, are recommending that we support international aid organisations, including ShelterBox, in their efforts to help. I encourage you as individuals and Clubs to take that advice.
