In 1988, Pete was inducted into the Rotary Club of Albury West.  At the time he was a   serving member of the Australian Army.  Pete was attracted to Rotary through some mutual acquaintances and because he had been invited to RC of Albury West as a guest speaker.  Joining Rotary seemed like a natural progression.

His Army career took him to a variety of locations, at each of which he took the opportunity to join the local Rotary Club (Drummoyne, NSW, Toorak, Vic, Canberra City, ACT, Drummoyne (again), Castle Hill, NSW, Denman, NSW, Castle Hill (again) and then on to Yass, NSW.  He is currently the Chairman of the Rotary Satellite Club of Yass Murrumbateman.

Pete has been the President of RC of Castle Hill and RC of Yass.  He is currently an Assistant Governor for some ACT based Clubs.  Pete is a Paul Harris Fellow (Sapphire) having been recognized for his services by Castle Hill and Yass. Pete participated in a RAWCS Project in Nepal in 2002.  This was an amazing experience and he would like to do something similar in the future.

Peter and his wife Judy (also an Assistant Governor in District 9710) have two daughters and one grandson.  Over the years they have hosted many Youth Exchange Students from countries such as: Finland, Germany, Belgium, Brazil (3), USA (2), Sweden, Denmark (2) and Taiwan.  In the main, this has been a most gratifying experience.

Pete’s love of wine attracted him to the local branch of the Rotary Wine Appreciation Fellowship (RWAF) and his is on the RWAF organising committee

Pete and Judy share their property, in Murrumbateman, with some Alpacas, Dorper sheep, Chooks and a couple of dogs.
